Mardi Gras almost slipped by without notice, but here it is, Fat Tuesday today, Ash Wednesday tomorrow and so Spring weather MUST be on it’s way! Another hopeful sign, temperatures forecast for above zero the rest of the week…..Dare we hope subzero is over for the year… too optimistic? We certainly do not want to be annoying the ice fairies….
Joe McDonald is our featured artist this month and brought in photographs, one of Ireland, green as only Ireland can be. I can always tell when I’m reaching the end of my winter rope, I start to dream of green, crave it even.
We have quite the variety of music this week. On Thursday night Erik Brandt will be here serving up Americana, on Friday, it’s jazz with Joyce Lyons and on Saturday, memories of the late 60’s with The Daisy Dillman Band.
Next week the Wine Club returns after a winter hiatus on Tuesday, March 11 from 7-9 PM. Thank you for your feedback. We are planning 8 sessions in the following months:

We are planning a St. Patrick’s Day celebration for Monday, March 17th (green!) We will be serving between 5- 7:30 PM. The menu includes corned beef & cabbage, red boiled potatoes, brown butter soda bread and Chocolate Guiness Cake. $12 per person. If any of you know someone, interested in a part time cooking job, please let them know we are looking for someone. We are particularly looking for someone for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights with line cooking experience. This would be a sweet job for someone and grow into something more if desired.
